Fixing, Installing, and Maintaining So You Don't Have To!
Policies
Warranty
We stand by the quality of our workmanship and materials. All services are covered by a 1-year warranty under normal use. This warranty includes parts, materials, and labor. Please note, damages resulting from misuse or abuse (e.g., standing on fixtures not designed to bear weight) are not covered.
If a customer provides materials for the job, our warranty will cover only the installation. We cannot guarantee the quality, durability, or performance of customer-supplied materials, and any mechanical failure or defects in those materials will not be covered under our warranty.
Payment Terms
Payment Upon Completion: Full payment is due immediately upon completion of the job.
Deposits for Larger Projects: For projects exceeding $500, a deposit covering the cost of materials is required before work commences.
Accepted Payment Methods: We accept cash, debit, or credit card.
Payment Policy: Payments not received within 10 days of the due date will incur a late fee of 5% of the outstanding balance, in accordance with Idaho state regulations. This fee will be assessed monthly until the balance is paid in full.
Scope of Services
General Contractor Registration: We are a registered general contractor in Idaho and carry liability insurance for your protection.
Specialized Trades: While we can perform minor electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs within legal limits, larger projects requiring licensed professionals will involve subcontracting. The costs for these services will be included in your quote.
Refund Policy
Before Work Begins: Customers may cancel and receive a full refund of any deposits made.
After Work Has Commenced: Refunds are not available once work has started. However, if a customer wishes to pause the project, they will be billed for labor performed up to that point, and any purchased materials will remain with the customer.
Special Order Materials Customers requesting special order materials will be required to approve the order before we proceed. The full cost of special order materials must be paid upfront, and they are non-refundable once ordered.
Pre-Existing Conditions
We are not liable for issues arising from pre-existing conditions, such as hidden water damage or structural defects. Discovery of such conditions may necessitate a revision of the original quote to address the additional work required.
Minimum Service Fee
To cover basic operational costs, a minimum fee of $75 applies to all service calls. This aligns with industry standards in Southern Idaho, where handyman services typically charge between $75 and $200 as a minimum fee.
Estimates and On-Site Visits
Free Online Estimates: Customers are encouraged to send pictures of the repair or project via email or text for a complimentary online estimate.
On-Site Visits: For larger projects requiring a physical assessment, a $25 fee is charged for the on-site visit. This fee will be credited toward the total project cost upon acceptance of the quote.
Customer Responsibilities
Prior to the commencement of work, customers must ensure that the work area is clear and accessible. This includes removing personal items, furniture, and any obstacles that may hinder the efficient completion of the project.
Service Area
We primarily serve the Kimberly / Twin Falls, Idaho area. Services outside this region may incur additional travel charges, which will be discussed and agreed upon before scheduling.
Licensing and Insurance
While we are fully insured and licensed as a general contractor, we are not licensed electricians, plumbers, or HVAC technicians. For large projects requiring these trades, we will subcontract to licensed professionals. Our responsibility is limited to ensuring compliance with general contracting work. Any issues related to code violations within specialized trades are the responsibility of the subcontractor.
Weather-Dependent Work
For outdoor services, work may be delayed or rescheduled due to adverse weather conditions. We will work with you to find the next available date that is suitable for completing the project safely and effectively.
Disposal of Waste and Debris
Standard services do not include the removal of large construction debris (e.g., drywall, large appliances, etc.). If haul-away is required, a disposal fee will be assessed, and the fee will be discussed and agreed upon before work begins.
